2023: Implementation of a sustainable development plan

We are proud to have signed the ‘Beyond Chocolate 2025’ charter, whose main ambition is to ensure that more than 140,000 cocoa farmers growing cocoa for the Belgian market earn a living income from their hard work by 2030. When farmers earn a decent income, this also helps address the root causes of child labor and deforestation.

We are building an alliance to protect forests, improve the livelihoods of farmers and forest communities, promote their human rights, and help them mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis.”

We are constantly seeking out environmentally friendly alternatives

  • The design of our reusable cotton bags meets strict ecological standards, featuring the OEKO-TEX label and the use of sustainable materials.
  • The cardboard packaging and paper we use are PEFC-certified, sourced from sustainably managed forests. “Only products derived from PEFC-certified forests, followed by an unbroken chain of certified companies throughout the manufacturing and marketing process, may carry the PEFC label.”
  • We favor the use of natural, non-toxic, and biodegradable inks..

Responsible energy consumption is of great importance to us

We actively work to reduce our energy footprint through measures such as installing solar panels and optimizing insulation and the cold chain. In doing so, we minimize our impact on the environment and contribute to preserving natural resources.
